In my day job I’m a marketing professional for a software start-up company in Austin, Texas. But I’m also a jewelry designer, a devoted foodie, and someone with way too many hobbies. In this blog I share my thoughts and learning in the jewelry business, feature my creative friends, offer recipes and photos, and generally dialog about my interests.
I’ve loved jewelry forever – and I started making it in 2006 after my mom and I took a jewelry-making class together. It was like magic – it unleashed a creative side that I never knew I had! Since then, I’ve learned to make lampwork glass beads that I incorporate in my work, plus I’m constantly working on new metal smithing techniques. I try to discuss my learning as I go – hopefully to help others as they learn, too.
